Federal & California laws require political committees to report name, mailing address, occupation and employer for each individual whose contributions aggregate $100 or more per calendar year. Corporate contributions will be used for California state elections. The first $5,000 received per individual (spouses counted separately) per calendar year may be used for federal elections. Contributions above $5,000 up to the maximum $26,600 will go to the California State Account, and may be used for state candidate support. Contributors of $10,000 or more in a calendar year to political party committees, all state & local candidates, PACs, and ballot measures must file a California “Major Donor Committee” report.
